Offered by nonprofit OG Yoga, this 30-hour Continuing Education (CE) course on Overcoming Trauma Through Yoga will take place on three consecutive weekends in October from noon until 5pm
This workshop is designed for Yoga Instructors, Educators, and Wellness Professionals who wish to offer trauma and diversity informed care.

Trauma Practicum provides instruction on how to empower students to reclaim their bodies with yoga techniques that intervene in the complex process of trauma. Anatomy Practicum weaves yoga philosophy and anatomy together and provides guided exercises, meditations, and reflections to experience the subtle energy of the pelvis potential and unlock the power of the spine. Asana Practicum focuses on Yin Yoga sequences for the Liver and Gallbladder to balance emotions.
OG Yoga has developed 150 hours of Continuing Education over five 30-Hour Modules which can be taken in any order.
Who is this workshop for?
This workshop is open to yoga instructors, students, educators, and wellness providers and meets the required 30 hours of continuing education by Yoga Alliance. Six months of previous yoga practice is recommended, but not required. You do not need to be a yoga instructor to attend this training. This workshop is designed to help you understand trauma and to tailor the yoga practice to support healing, resilience, and self-development.
What does Module 2 focus on?
Module 2 Asana will focus on Yin practice for the Liver and Gallbladder. Anatomy will focus on the Pelvis Potential and Unlocking the Power of the Spine. Trauma will focus on embodiment of key themes, domains, and instructor qualities to offer survivors and specialty populations a gentle, mindful yoga that is tailored for their specific needs.
Who is OG Yoga and Why this Course Offering
OG Yoga sends Yoga Alliance certified instructors with at least 200 hours of teaching experience out to need base communities, for youth, seniors and adults facing homelessness, poverty, abuse, addiction, incarceration and re-entry, we make Yoga and mindfulness equally accessible to all. OG Yoga has served over 10,000 individuals from 5 to 85 years young through 50 community partnerships. We have an altruistic Yoga Studio in Normal Heights in addition to our Yoga Teacher Training.

Cancellations/Refund Policy:
Refunds available less $150 non-refundable deposit up to 2 weeks before the course starts date. After that, credit can be applied towards any future course or OG Yoga Studio classes/membership.
